This document helps you understand the nature, purpose, and limits of online counselling / therapy services offered through MindVoice.

By booking or attending a session, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the following.

1. Nature of Counselling / Therapy

Counselling / therapy is a collaborative and supportive process that may help with:

emotional difficulties
stress
relationship concerns
self-understanding
personal growth
coping with life challenges

It may involve discussing thoughts, emotions, experiences, and personal patterns in a reflective and therapeutic way.

2. Outcomes

Counselling / therapy can be helpful, but:

progress differs from person to person
no specific result can be guaranteed
emotional growth often takes time and active participation

3. Online Mode

MindVoice currently provides services primarily through online sessions.

Online counselling / therapy offers flexibility, but may also include limitations such as:

internet issues
audio/video disruptions
reduced non-verbal observation
privacy limitations in the client’s own space

4. Client Responsibilities

To support an effective session, clients are expected to:

join on time
attend from a private and quiet space
use a stable internet connection
ensure they are able to speak freely and safely

5. Session Duration

A standard counselling / therapy session is generally 50 minutes, unless otherwise stated.

6. Confidentiality

Information shared in counselling / therapy is treated as confidential, except where disclosure may be required due to:

risk of serious harm to self
risk of harm to others
abuse or neglect concerns
legal or ethical obligations

7. Possible Benefits and Discomfort

Counselling / therapy may support:

emotional clarity
self-awareness
healthier coping
better understanding of patterns and relationships

At times, it may also involve emotional discomfort while discussing difficult experiences.

8. Scope of Service

MindVoice provides counselling / therapy support and does not offer:

emergency psychiatric care
crisis intervention
hospitalization support
legal or forensic services

Referral may be recommended where appropriate.

9. Emergency Disclaimer

MindVoice is not an emergency mental health service.

If you are experiencing:

suicidal thoughts
self-harm risk
immediate emotional crisis
psychiatric emergency

please contact:

local emergency services
the nearest hospital
a psychiatrist
or a trusted support person immediately

10. Communication Outside Sessions

Communication outside scheduled sessions may be used only for:

appointment booking
rescheduling
payment clarification
general service-related communication

It should not be used for crisis or emergency support.

11. Voluntary Participation

Participation in counselling / therapy is voluntary. You may ask questions, discuss concerns, and decide whether to continue the process.

12. Consent

By booking or attending a session with MindVoice, you acknowledge that:

you understand the nature of online counselling / therapy
you understand the limits of confidentiality
you understand that these services are not emergency care
you voluntarily consent to participate
